Hey! I'm Ketryn 🙂
I’m a Motion Designer and Artist-Researcher based in Florianópolis, Brazil.
For 14 years, I’ve been working with shapes, colors, and movement to tell visual stories — from commercial motion design to experimental art projects.
With a background in Design and Journalism, I navigate fluidly between video, illustration, painting, and writing.
What makes my work unique is the integration of technical mastery with theoretical depth. I don’t just execute briefs, I think conceptually about how narratives are constructed and experienced.
Currently pursuing a Master’s in Language Sciences at Unisul, researching narrative construction in interactive environments through Franco-Brazilian Materialist Discourse Analysis (Pêcheux-Orlandi). This research expands my practice into installations and immersive experiences, exploring how digital materiality, algorithms and generative art reconfigure storytelling.
Multipotentiality
My professional and academic background has provided me with a wide range of skills, including working with illustration, After Effects animation, cel animation, UX/UI animation, and mixed-media projects.
As a Multidisciplinary Artist, I am always looking for new ways to express myself. My experiments include animation, illustration, painting, writing, bookbinding & handicraft.
PAGU - Cultural Association
I am one of the founding members of PAGU – Popular Cultural Association of Vila Nova de Gaia. PAGU is an association that aims to promote the cultural, artistic, and educational development of the community in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal.
